A total of 150 auctions are now live for the Nike Air Mag. With all proceeds from the auctions to go to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. A total of 1,500 will be placed on eBay over a period of months so unless you have some serious bread to burn right now you will be watching the bids go up and up, which are now hovering around $4,000 a pair. But don’t worry in 2015 you too will be able to own these bad boys. The point of this early sample release of this sneaker is that proceeds will go to a good cause so if you have the means, buying a pair will go to people in need.

The Auctions can be found here and the Nike’s promo page can be found here.

Here is what is being said during the auctions:

Q: WHY IS THIS AUCTION ONLY OPEN TO BIDDERS FROM THE UNITED STATES?
Due to individual country regulations governing the manufacture, distribution and/or sale of products containing batteries and other electronic components (i.e. chargers), sales and shipments for this auction will be available to bidders in the United States.

You may bid on up to 10 pairs at a time and win up to 10 pairs.

Q: WERE THE 2011 NIKE MAG SHOES USED IN THE FILM BACK TO THE FUTURE PART II?
The 2011 NIKE MAG shoes are movie prop replicas inspired by the Nike shoes appearing in the 1989 film Back to the Future Part II. The 2011 NIKE MAG shoes are not designed or intended for normal wear and use as footwear.

Q: DO THE 2011 NIKE MAG SHOES POWER-LACE?
No. For the power-lace feature you will have to wait until 2015.
