Racism is Still Alive: Dead Thugs in ATL via (@eldorado2452)

In a time when our Nation has it’s first African- American President Barack Obama, it appears Racism is openly still alive.  Many eyebrows were raised this past Tuesday about National/local Atlanta based radio- host Neal Boortz’s outrageous comments about “Dead Thugs in ATL” :
” WE GOT TOO DAMN MANY URBAN THUGS, YO, RUINING THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR EVERYONE. AND I’LL TELL YOU WHAT IT’S GONNA TAKE. YOU PEOPLE, YOU ARE- YOU NEED TO HAVE A GUN. YOU NEED TO HAVE TRAINING. YOU NEED TO KNOW HOW TO USE THAT GUN. YOU NEED TO GET A PERMIT TO CARRY THAT GUN. AND YOU DO IN FACT NEED TO CARRY THAT GUN AND WE NEED TO SEE SOME DEAD THUGS LITTERING THE LANDSCAPE IN ATLANTA. WE NEED MORE DEAD THUGS IN THIS CITY.”
Is this Guy serious? If you ask me he sounds like a modernized Hilter. The U.S. Constitution does certainly allow freedom of speech but how can that be monitored if those words can possibly cause death?
Neal Boortz hosts a nationally-syndicated talk show , the Neal Boortz show thar airs from 8:30am- 1:00pm Monday though Friday and is widely know for his controversial statements about Muslim extremists and African-Americans.  Boortz’s show is the 7th largest show in America based on overall listens with over 20 million a week so it’s safe to say his voice is being heard. Boortz also known as “The Mouth of the South” and “Mighty Whitey”  is way out of line with his comments and in my opinion the comments were stupid and extremely racist. Is he trying to begin another civil war in the South?
Unfortunately Boortz isn’t alone in this mentality. Over the past 3 years many radio/TV personalities have be opening Racist and disrespectful to the African- American culture and mainly our 44th president Barack Obama in ways the press or media would Never have been able to refer to George W. Bush or better yet any of the previous 43 U.S. Presidents as. How can this be allowed? Without consequences why would radio personalities and media who think like Boortz stop their outrageous comments?
It still amazes me how vicious some peoples comment and thoughts still are. What defines a THUG? Is it a black or Latino person? If your a uneducated or unemployed should u be killed? No No No. We must find a way collectively to stop this. I believe with the campaigns for the 2012 Presidental race , racism many be at an all time high. We must be aware of our world and the people who effect our everyday life.  To date Boortz has not made a statement to the reaction of his comments.
