Things as we know them in MLB are shaking up a bit. The Houston Astros who were recently sold from Drayton McLane to Jim Crane will be changing leagues.

Beginning in 2013 the Astro will leave the National league and will play in the American league as part of the AL west giving each league 15 teams. Baseball owners and MLB Commissioner Bud Selig have also agreed to add two more wild card teams to the postseason. Details are still up in the air but this move will mean 10 of the 30 teams will make the playoffs and should heat up the runs teams make in september. This move may go into effect as soon as this upcoming 2012 season.
