It’s Safe to say Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is cutting ties and cleaning house. Out with the old, in with the new. Former second round 2002 pick and victimof Albert Haynesworth’s cleats Andre Gurode has been cut by the Cowboys today.

The 32 year old pro bowl center was due to make $5.5 million this year and was inked until 2012.  Dallas forced Gurode to sit out the Cowboys more recent preseason game while they determined to keep, trade or cut him.

Gurode was entering his tenth season and is a five time pro bowler. Second year undrafted free agent center Phil Costa will replace Gurode. Costa played his college ball  at Maryland under head coach Ralph Friedgen.
