kkk-21 Georgia denies KKK "Adopt-A-Highway" application via @eldorado2452 & @GetLiftedMedia

Racism may not only still be alive but if your not careful you could ride right up to a KKK meeting on a Georgia Highway.

On Tuesday a Ku Klux Klan group known as the International Keystone Knights of the KKK in Union County lost its bid to join the state’s “Adopt-A-Highway” program and may be looking to take the matter to court.

The Northern Georgia based KKK group were looking to adopt and clean along Route 515 in the Appalachian Mountains but due to the groups history itl seem to be in the best interest of the Georgia citizens to denied the group.

DOT ( the department of transportation) officials met with both Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal and the state Attorney General’s office before deciding to deny the group stating ” the program is aimed at civic-minded organizations in good standing”. DOT also stated that motorist may become distracted if they see signs promoting the KKK and that the overall area they want to adopt is ineligiable because of a 55mph speed zone.

Members of the Union county KKK group stressed that their previous have hosted food, toy and coat drive and that wasn’t to warn  people about the KKK but to do well in the community.

What do you think of this? How would u react to Klan man cleaning your local highways & byways?
