Now we have the NFC East. Home to the defending Super Bowl Champs the New York Giants. Here are my predictions for worst to first:
Washington Redskins (2011:5-11 2012: 7-9)
Although Washington moved up to the second pick in the draft to get Baylor QB RG3 I doubt the skins make any real noise this year. Their offense may improve and I believe Ryan Kerrigan, Brian Orakpo and DeAngelo Hall are all Hawaii bond in February but this division is to loaded for Griffin to immediately become the king of the east. If he stays healthy look for him to battle Luck and Richardson for the offensive rookie of the year.
Key Additions: Robert Griffin III, Pierre Garcon, Kirk Cousins, Brandon Meriweather
Key Losses: La’ron Landry
Dallas Cowboys (2011: 8-8 2012: 10-6)
Not matter how much I love the 8th wonder of the world Tony Romo and the Cowboys call home I just think somehow they will fall short again. Dez Bryant is a Pro Bowler in the making and some about the Ryan’s a hard noise defenses just is a fact. The cowboys will have a good year but not a playoff year. A week 16 home lost to the saints may smell trouble for Romo and head coach Jason Garrett’s future.
Key Additions: Brandon Carr, Morris Claiborne, Kyle Orton
Key Losses:Jon Kitna
New York Giants (2011: 9-7 2012:10-6)
The 2011 Super Bowl champs will be looking to quietly creep into the postseason again and will but that red target on their uniforms won’t win them the division. Last seasons growth for Manning will only elevate him more as he campaigns to prove you can’t spell Elite without Manning. The Manning to Cruz combo will once again give opponents secondary’s nightmare but the lost of Jacobs to the 49ers may hurt the G-men’s run game. Look for a monster year from Defensive ends J-P-P and Justin Tuck.
Key Additons: David Wilson
Key Losses: Brandon Jacobs, Mario Manningham
Philadelphia Eagles (2011: 8-8 2012: 12-4)
Last year the Eagle’s Dream Team title only give then nightmares and what appeared to be a Super Bowl only turned out to be a .500 season and a lot of bringer pointing at Andy Reid. With a stronger more physical defensive and a focused Eagles offense the sky is the limit for this team. Look for the Eagles Defense to be ranked in the top 5 and show and prove this season. Lesean McCoy will also have another great year possibly putting his name in the MVP race.
Key Additions: Demarco Ryans, Flechter Cox, Vinny Curry
Key Losses: Asante’ Samuels, Vince Young, Ronnie Brown , Garrett Reid (Death)
