628x471 2012 NLCS (St. Louis Cardinals Vs. San Francisco Giants) Game 7 Predictions

It’s going to be a crazy scene by the bay tonight in AT&T Park.

In a winner take all game 7 NLCS the San Francisco Giants will send Matt Cain to the mound and the St. Louis Cardinals will send out Kyle Lohse in a pitching rematch of Game 3 of the NLCS.

The Cardinals had a 3-1 lead in the series but the Giants won two straight to avoid elimination and force a game 7 for a chance to the 2012 World Series to face the Detroit Tigers. This is the first time since 2006 that a NLCS has gone to a game 7. In 2006 the Cardinals beat the New York Mets 3-1 in New York to advance to the big dance.

After being up 3-1 and losing the last two I think the Cardinals bounce back on the road to represent the NL for the second straight year. The Giants have been very impressive but I believe the buck stops here. Look for Matt Holliday to have a huge hit in the last few innings to help break open the game.

Giants 2    Cardinals 5
