Cabrera 2012 World Series: Detroit Tigers Vs. San Francisco Giants Predictions

MLB fans the table is now set and this one is for all the marble.

Zito vs. Verlander. Leyland vs.Bochy. Posey vs. Cabrera. Tonight the Detroit Tigers face the San Francisco Giants in the 2012 MLB World Series.

There are so many storylines that could be created for this series but no matter how you view it ,this sure be a classic series.  I’m picking the Tigers to win the entire series and I’m also picking them to get off to a great start by winning tonight.

Detroit’s ace Justin Verlander has been pitching lights out and I expect that to continue tonight. Verlander’s presence this postseason has sparked the Tigers and will loom over this World Series. His last World Series performance in 2006 wasn’t a great one.

The Giants certainly are confident and have all the momentum but I just feel the Tigers have too much talent and are rested having swept the New York Yankees. Look for Giants pitcher Barry Zito to be pulled after a rough fourth inning.

Tigers 5    Giants 1
