The reason why Carl Crawford has missed so many games this season due to surgery. He missed the first 89 games because consistent complications involving his wrist and elbow. All that batting practice! After a successful surgery in January, he hurt himself again in spring training. Next, Crawford sprained the ulnar collateral ligament in his throwing elbow.
