The Los Angeles Lakers have started 0-3 for the first time in 34 years. Last night the Lakers squared off against locker room rivals the Los Angeles Clippers and despite the Black Mamba dropping 40 points the Clippers high powered offense was too much.

There is much being said about the Lakers slow start. After going 0-8 in the preseason the Lakers are now 0-3 in this young 2012-13 season and Kobe says ” It’s time to hit the panic button.”

Steve Nash didn’t play due to a leg injury and Dwight Howard added 13 points but was in foul trouble much of the game. I’m not ready to say the Lakers should or need to push the panic button but a sense of urgency is needed. The Lakers next game is sunday against the Detroit Pistons a game the Lakers should win.

One thing is for sure if something doesn’t change soon I could easily see Lakers head coach sitting on the hot seat.
