Tonight’s NFL Monday night football match up features the New Orleans Saints hosting the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Saints and Eagles both seem to be sitting in places they didn’t think they would be in at the beginning of the year. The Saints entered the season knowing their backs would be against the wall facing the bounty penalties and the season lost of their head coach Sean Payton but I’m sure a 2-5 record was not in the picture mid way through the year.
The Eagles also entered the year on a sad note following the loss of Garrett Reid, son of Eagles head coach Andy Reid, however committed to having a stellar year in his memory which to date has not happen. The Eagles are 3-4 and could be 1-6 or 6-1 depending who you ask. Bottom line the Eagles must now put up or shut up with Michael Vick and Andy Reid’s jobs both in jeopardy.
With all that being said I think tonight will be about the arrival of the Eagles defense against Brees and the Saints high powered offense and the return of the Michael Vick experience live on primetime television. Look for breakout night’s from Maclin and Celek as Vick passes for over 350 and 3 touchdowns. Also look for a defensive or special teams touchdown from the Birds.
