I don’t know an athlete more confused that Dwight Howard. After all the drama surrounding the Orlando Magic and their all-star center ,Superman could still become a member of the Brooklyn Nets, according to league sources.

The Nets and the Orlando Magic are discussing a trade that would send Howard to the Nets for Brook Lopez, Kris Humphries, MarShon Brooks and the Nets’ first-round picks in 2013, 2015 and 2017, sources said. Lopez and Humphries, who are both free agents, would go to Orlando in sign-and-trade deals.

I personally think Howard is overrated as a superstar in the NBA. Yes he is 7 feet tall. Yes he can block and rebound. Yes he can dunk but he appears to be extremely weak mentally and is sorely lacking offensively in many areas of his game. Howard’s back and fourth, stay or leave attitude is destroying the chemistry in Orlando and maybe they should cut ties with this man asap.

The Magic would appear to be the winners in the deal if they can receive Lopez, Brooks and a handful of draft picks. That would gave Orlando a quality young group to rebuild around and possible set up a nice future. I’m not impressed by the Nets signing Johnson and going after Howard but it seems they have their back against wall with all the expectations moving to Brooklyn bought with it. I still believe Miami,Chicago Indy, Boston and maybe the Hawks and Sixers will still have better teams as 2012-13 season begins. I guess only time will tell.

Do you think a Big 3 of Deron Williams, Dwight Howard and Joe Johnson can bring a championship to Brooklyn?
