Writtenhouse, a touring band from Philly. On stage I ( Kush Shalimar) make our beats live in real time; no CD, no script along with Charlie K in the front taking emceeing to a whole nother level with Somville Sleeves keeping the crowds energy on high.. As such, we’ve toured heavily since our inception in 2008, earning each and every one of our hundreds of fans from our grassroots, indie efforts. In nearly a year and a half, Writtenhouse has played roughly 60 shows in Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Ontario, Canada. The band’s grassroots, indie initiative has paid dividends as Writtenhouse was selected to support noteworthy acts such as Wu-Tang Clan and De La Soul, as well as being hand-picked to play memorable events such as the 2009 Roots Picnic, the 2009 NXNE Festival in Toronto , A3C Hip Hop Festival 2010 and most recently opening for Snoop Lion (HOB A.C) , Rock The Bells Philly and opening The Distant Relatives Tour Philly at The Electric Factory ( Nas & Damein Marely…. featured in the vid attached)
