Week 7 in this years 2013 NFL season was a injury prone week for many NFL teams. One of the worst hit teams in week 7 was the St. Louis Rams when their franchise quarterback Sam Bradford was injured late in the second half of the Rams (30-15) lost to the Carolina Panthers and suffered a season ending ACL injury.

With Sam out, The Rams reached out to former NFL quarterback and future Hall of Famer Brett Favre to see if he would take over the head position for Jeff Fisher’s Rams. During Favre’s 19 year NFL career he has passed for over 71,000 passing yards with 508 passing touchdowns and 336 interceptions. The 44 year old Favre who is now a grandfather, is also currently the quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator at Oak Grove High School in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

At this time Favre has respectively told the Rams he plans to stay retired but you never really know with Favre. The Rams do have a young defense on the rise by their shaky offense may not have been enough to get Favre back in pads. The St. Louis Rams take on the Seattle Seahawks on Monday night football for the week 8 Monday night game, Kellen Clemons is projected to be the starter.
