DJ Connect of the Swedish production crew, Elite Fleet, is making international connections on his latest extend play effort, Well Connected. The project, released in collaboration with the Brooklyn-based label, Creative Juices, includes guest features from the likes of J-Ro (Alkaholiks), Planet Asia, Rasco, Jeru The Damaja, Reef the Lost Cauze, Block McCloud, Maylay Sparks, Motion Man, and L.I.F.E. Long, among others.
Working with traditional methods using Akai samplers that showcase his crate digging production savvy, Connect manages to fuse hard drums with obscure samples, and mellow Jazz licks, catered towards the seasoned Boom bap aficionado. “The production is gritty, the cuts are sharp, and the featured emcees deliver potent bars…” states Connect, when discussing his new EP.
In promotion for Well Connected, Connect is pleased to share the Block McCloud and Reef the Lost Cauze featured single “Up In Sweden,” which was recorded when both artists passed through Sweden on a recent tour through Europe. Well Connected is now available on CD and can be downloaded via iTunes and all major digital retailers
