Uh oh, there may not be a fight tonight. Last night during the weigh-in, Mayweather Promotions CEO, Leonard Ellerbe found Maidana custom Everlast gloves to be lacking padding in the knuckle area. Thats the video above.
Maidana camp eventually decided to switch to Cleto Reyes gloves. The Cleto Reyes gloves were already approved by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Floyd threatened to cancel the fight if he did not switch his boxing gloves. Watch Ellerbe’s comments below.
