Mister Cee announced his departure from Hot 97 back in November. Unlike retirement announces over scandals that didn’t last longer than 24 hours, this retirement announcement was real. “I am signing off from Hot 97 after this day. Nothing happened to me. There’s no controversy like last year [laughs]. It’s just time for me to go, Tri-State. It’s time for me to move on.”

Cee took to his Instagram to announce that he has moved on to New York’s Radio 103.9 and told XXL,

The station was recently established and is more R&B centered. The Wallop King said, I AM EXCITED, HUMBLED, & BLESSED TO BE BACK ON THE RADIO WITH THE NEW RADIO 103.9 IN NEW YORK. TO BE A PART OF A NEW GROWING STATION GIVES ME A FRESH START IN MY RADIO CAREER. SPECIAL THANKS TO KEN JOHNSON & RAPHAEL GEORGE FOR GIVING ME THIS OPPORTUNITY. ALSO A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU TO ANDREW VERAS AKA DOMINICAN DREW FOR PUSHING FOR ME TO BE A PART OF THE RADIO 103.9 FAMILY, I WILL NEVER EVER FORGET IT.
