940x-1 NBA MVP Kevin Durant Suffers A Fractured Right Foot And Is Now Out Indefinitely

Talk about a bad luck striking at the wrong time. After leaving the USA world games this summer to avoid injury, reigning NBA MVP Kevin Durant has suffered a right foot injury and Durant could miss up to 8 weeks and need surgery.

The Oklahoma City Thunder made an announcement today but also informed fans that a timetable hasn’t been set yet. If Kevin Durant is required to have surgery, he could return to the Thunder’s starting lineup near Christmas.

According to ESPN, the Thunder had this to say regarding Durant’s foot injury:

“We are in the process of collaboratively evaluating the most appropriate next steps with Kevin, his representatives, and Thunder medical personnel,” general manager Sam Presti said in a statement. “Until a course of action is determined, we are unable to provide a timeline specific to Kevin’s case.”
