Raekwon & Dave East At SOB’s (NYC) Recap

A few days ago, in New York City, NY Hip Hop took over the famed SOB’s venue; courtesy of The Takeovah Radio.

With Raekwon and Dave East headlining, a few of the city’s up-and-comers opened up; with each of them looking to carry the torch. NY Hip Hop is notorious (no pun intended) for the sound it created in the genre’s Golden Era years. Raekwon and Dave East bridge the gap of the original Golden Era to the new one we are witnessing today.

Whether they were rapping along to Dave East’s fresh cuts, or Raekwon’s classic joints, the crowd joined in, word for word. ‘Twas a beautiful night in Hip hop.
