Nicki Minaj is getting some good news following the death of her road manager and close friend, De’Von Pickett. Nicki’s latest album, The Pinkprint has officially reached gold status. 509,022 copies of the album have been sold, 48,839 units were sold just this past week. She is the first female rapper to go gold since 2012 when she achieved the same status with Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. It seems that she really is her only competition.
