This topic is still very relevant. Just last month Funk Flex took to the Hot 97 airwaves to put Jay-Z & the people running his website Life+Times on blast. He referred to HOV as a “corporate commercial rapper” & called Life+Times trash.
Bossip caught up with Hip-Hop’s #1 DJ for his take on a number of subjects, one of the main topics being Jay-Z. Flex claims that Jay-Z is currently in a bidding war for Hot 97. He also claims that he did not “air Jay-Z out” but simply gave his opinion. He doesn’t think HOV is mad, but he did say that he thinks he’s DEFINITELY buying out “HOV 97” & the first thing he’ll do if that falls through is fire him. Sarcasm much?
On top of speaking on Jay-Z, they also discussed Kendrick winning his first Grammy & the backlash that Iggy Azalea receives every time she opens her mouth. Flex is quite the character.
