Mike Towers first caught his buzz in the underground circuit after his Soundcloud page went viral. Since then, the Puerto Rican MC has been locked in the studio putting the finishing touches on his highly anticipated mixtape, “El Fin Del Principio” (The End of the Beginning). With the project nearing release, Towers, who is closely affiliated with French Montana’s camp, taps director Kid Art for cinematic style video for his first single “Dinero En Mano,” (Cash In Hand.) The clip, which was premiered by Vibe earlier, finds the 20-year-old prodigy playing the role of boss as he puts his money first.
When speaking to Vibe on the premise of the record, Mike Towers had this to say.
“‘Dinero En Mano’ centers around the idea that men, both, of honest and illegal work share a monetary instinct and desire to gain wealth. Everybody ‘trusts in God,’ but no one — good or bad — puts faith in the next man when it comes to what is theirs.”
