As a followup to his “I Am Not Them” EP, Little Rock rapper, Big Piph recently jumped on Justin Paul’s new single, “Garret Morgan” for a guest feature. The Justin Paul produced cut will actually be on the track list for Big Piph’s upcoming release, “I Am Not Them: The Legacy Project.” This is slated for a June release.
The inspiration for the song’s title was prominent Black inventor, Garret Morgan. Born to former slaves, and despite having a 6th grad education, Morgan invented the traffic signal, among other things.
