The wait is over! Not only is September the best month of the year (due to my birthday lol) but once again, Atlanta’s ONE Musicfest has once again out done themselves. I’ve had the pleasure of attending ONE Musicfest the past 4 years and each year it gets better and better.
Tickets for ONE Musicfest, the Southeast’s premiere fall music festival, are on sale now. Ice Cube and Erykah Badu will headline this year’s event, which will take place Saturday, Sept. 10 at the Atlanta-area Lakewood Amphitheater. Performances by Busta Rhymes, Gary Clark Jr., A$AP Ferg, Andra Day, Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, Jazmine Sullivan and BJ The Chicago Kid are also part of the exciting ONE Musicfest 2016 lineup.
The festival will also feature the long-awaited reunion of Atlanta’s own Dungeon Family and Organized Noize, with Big Boi, CeeLo Green, Rico Wade, Big Gipp, T-Mo, Killer Mike, Cool Breeze, Witchdoctor, Backbone, Big Rube, Sleepy Brown, Ray Murray, and Slimm Calhoun all set to take the stage along with several special guests.
Now in its 7th year, ONE Musicfest has drawn more than 60,000 music lovers from all over the country to Atlanta to enjoy performances from artists including Kendrick Lamar, Nas, The Roots, Snoop Dogg, Lauryn Hill and Janelle Monae. In addition to seeing many of hip-hop’s biggest
legends, alongside some of today’s most popular hitmakers, attendees will get the opportunity to experience an artist village, graffiti walls, and a separate stage with over 30 DJs. Each year, festival organizers make it a point to top the previous year’s ONE Musicfest, and 2016 promises to be no exception.
“We’re super proud of our lineup for 2016’s ONE Musicfest ,” says event founder J Carter. “Everyone who comes out this year can expect a phenomenal show, an amazing selection of food, and unique offerings from talented designers and artists. Our seventh ONE Musicfest is going to be awesome. The best one yet!
