Are you ready for some football? Week 6 of the 2016 season kicks off tonight with the (4-1) Denver Broncos headed to Southern California to face the (1-4) San Diego Chargers in a good old fashion AFC West showdown.

The Broncos have looked good all year but they are coming off of a lost to the Atlanta Falcons during Week 5. The Broncos defense is looking to bounce back against a struggling Chargers team. During week 5, the Broncos started rookie QB Paxton Lynch because of a shoulder injury to Broncos starting QB Trevor Siemian but tonight Siemian is back as the starter.

The Chargers have been in every game this season, but late game collapses have lead the Chargers to a record of (1-4) and facing a must win scenario tonight. I expect this to be the highest scoring Thursday night football game of the year. Look for the Broncos to get going in the air and for Siemian to pass for over 300 yards in his first game back. I expect both Broncos starting wide receivers (Sanders & Thomas) to account for two touchdowns a piece and over 200 yards receiving combined.

For the Chargers, I expect Phillip Rivers to come out on fire tonight looking to provide the upset. Look for Rivers to toss for over 3oo yards as well including 3 touchdown passes (2 to tight ends). Chargers running back Melvin Gordon should have a good night on the ground too with over 85 rushing yards and a touchdown. Despite the Chargers recent late game collapses, I expect them to get the win tonight.

Broncos 31  Chargers 34
