The Atlanta Dream wrapped up their 2016 WNBA home schedule on Thursday September 15th with a big win against the Washington Mystics. Angel McCoughtry returned to start for the Dream after serving a WNBA one-game suspension for regular season technical foul accumulation against San Antonio last Tuesday (9-13). Atlanta trailed by as many as 12 in the opening quarter but rallied in the final stages of the opening 10 minutes to trim the Washington lead to two points (28-26).
Dream star Angel McCoughtry scored 23 of her 31 points in the first half.

Elizabeth Williams’ 13 points and 10 rebounds marked her second straight double-double (third double-double in her last four games) and fourth game straight with double-figure rebounds. The Dream opened with a 10-2 run and outscored Washington (26-17) to take a seven-point lead into halftime. Dream rookie Bria Holmes posted 16 points in Atlanta’s (94-91) win over Washington. Holmes has posted double-figure points in five consecutive games and in nine of her 10 starts this season.

The Atlanta Dream will tip off the 2016 WNBA postseason on Wednesday September 21st here in Atlanta against the Seattle Storm at McCamish Pavilion on the campus of Georgia Tech at 8pm.
