Rolling, rolling, rolling with a big win!

 

The Atlanta Hawks ended their 8 game losing streak on Sunday November 5th defeating LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in a 4th quarter thriller (117-115).

 

The Hawks have showed improvement all season long and on Sunday afternoon, it all came together. Dennis Schroder lead the way for the Atlanta Hawks finishing the game with 28 points and 9 assist. Schroder controlled the pace, picking his shots wisely shooting (9-13) from the field. Luke Babbitt added 17 points going (4-8) from beyond the three point line.

 

What more can be said about the play of Hawks rookie John Collins on Sunday afternoon. Collins finished with 13 rebounds and 12 points while fellow rookie Isaiah Taylor added 14 points and 3 assist off the bench. Hawks swingman Taurean Prince finished the night with 17 points and 5 rebounds on (6-13) shooting.

 

For the Cleveland Cavs who dropped to a record of (4-6), LeBron James lead the way with 26 points and 13 assist. Off the bench, Dwyane Wade added 25 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assist. Kyle Korver poured in 23 points.

 

The Atlanta Hawks will play the second game of their back to back on Monday November 6th against the hottest team in the NBA, the Boston Celtics. Marco Belinelli (sore left Achilles) is probable. Malcolm Delaney (sprained right ankle) is probable. Dennis Schröder (sprained left ankle) is probable. DeAndre’ Bembry (fractured right wrist) is out. Ersan Ilyasova (bone bruise, left knee) is out. Mike Muscala (sprained left ankle) is out. Miles Plumlee (strained right quad) is out.
