Kemba Walker Talks the Hornets 2017-18 Season, Dwight Howard, What He Sees in Malik Monk’s Game & More (Video)

On Friday October 20th, the Atlanta Hawks (1-1) played in their second game of the 2017-18 NBA season, losing to the Charlotte Hornets (1-1) (109-91) in the Hornets home opener.

 

It was a tale of two halves to say the least. During the first half of play, the Hawks put up 28 points in both the first and second quarters of the game. The Hawks took a (56-49) in the locker room during halftime, but the Hornets woke up in the second half.

 

In the third quarter of action, the Hornets out scored the Hawks (35-17) and in the second half, the Hornets exploded on a (24-0) run. For the home team, former Atlanta Hawks big man Dwight Howard had a big night scoring 20 points and grabbing 15 rebounds. All-Star point guard Kemba Walker added 26 points and 9 assist and Frank “The Tank” Kaminsky finished with 21 points off the bench.

 

Following the game, Terrell Thomas caught up with Charlotte Hornets all-star point guard Kemba Walker. Kemba Walker spoke on the Hornets win against the Hawks, how he is looking forward to pick and rolls with Dwight Howard, rookie Malik Monk’s development and more.
