For the Sixers, it was their second game in two nights and big man Joel Embiid did not play. Sixers rookie of the year candidate finished the game with 15 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assist and 5 steals. Simmons who was named Oct/Nov. Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month is looking like a star on the rise.

Sixers sharpshooter J.J Redick added 17 points. Sixers swingman Robert Covington added 11 points and 5 rebounds.

The story of the night was the play of Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving. Kyrie has been leading his young team in MVP like fashion and his play Thursday night was no different. Irving finished the game with 36 points going (5-8) from the field. Celtics big man Al Horford played huge as well. Horford finished with 21 points on (9-12) shooting from the floor. Boston rookie Jayson Tatum scored 15 points with 2 rebounds and 2 assist.
