Cadence is a word used to describe the flow or rhythm of events. Ascend describes a rising through the air. Kayscend had that in mind when picking her surname to describe her rhythmic movement of musical expression.
Born in Brooklyn, NY to Puerto Rican parents and later transplanted to Goulds/Cutler Ridge, FL in her childhood years. This singer/songwriter overcame many trials and tribulations to become the powerhouse she is today.
