Hawks-Blazers-500x279 Rip City Dazed: Atlanta Hawks vs. Portland Trailblazers (1-5-18) (Recap)

The Atlanta Hawks are (0-2) on their current West Coast road trip and currently have a record of (10-28) after a (110-89) loss to the Portland Trailblazers.

Friday nights matchup may be one that the Hawks look to learn from as they continue to grow together this season. It was poor shooting night for the Hawks as they shot 36 percent from the field as a team. Dennis Schroder was the Hawks leading scorer and he finished the night with 14 points and 4 assist on just (5-14) shooting from the field. Taurean Prince didn’t have his best night in a Hawks uniform. Prince finished with 11 points and 8 rebounds on (4-11) shooting from the field. Off the bench, guards Malcolm Delaney, Isaiah Taylor and Tyler Dorsey all finished the night with 8 points.

For the Trailblazers, the return of all-star guard Damian Lillard has been key. Lillard finished the night with 14 points and 6 assist shooting (6-15) from the field. C.J. McCollum led the Blazers in scoring on the night with 20 points. The Blazers shot 53% from the field controlling the pace and keeping the Hawks at enough distance to pull away with the win.

The Atlanta Hawks have three more games remainder of their West Coast road trip. On Sunday (Jan 7th), the Hawks will face Lonzo Ball and Los Angeles Lakers live from Staples Center. Stay tuned to HHS1987.
