The Atlanta Hawks 2018-19 season has been filled with highs and lows and Saturday night was certainly a good night for Atlanta Hawks fans.

On Saturday night, lead by John Collins, the Atlanta Hawks defeated the Denver Nuggets (106-98). Standing at a record of (6-20), the Atlanta Hawks took advantage of an injury filled Denver Nuggets team who were without Paul Millsap and Gary Harris.

Atlanta Hawks big man John Collins had a career night finishing the game with 30 points and 12 rebounds. Collins has been a bright spot for Atlanta since his season debut last month. The highflying forward is putting the NBA on notice that he is one of the best young players in the league. The scary part is, I don’t believe Collins has even begun to scratch the surface of his potential.

Hawks forward/ guard DeAndre’ Bembry also had a big night scoring 18 points. The Hawks were short handed as they played without Jeremy Lin, Omari Spellman and Taurean Prince, however the Hawks benched stepped up and played well. John Collins performance capped off what has been a big four game stretch for him. In the last 4 games, Collins has scored  19 points, 24 points, 26 points and then 30 points and 12 rebounds on Saturday.

The Atlanta Hawks begin a three game road game on Wednesday in Dallas against the Dallas Mavericks. The Hawks defeated the Mavs back on October 24th (111-104). Follow @eldorado2452 on Twitter and Instagram for all your Atlanta Hawks, NBA and sports news.
