The Los Angeles Sparks have a WNBA championship on their minds this 2018 WNBA season and on Sunday afternoon, they made a big statement.

 

The Los Angeles Sparks played their second home game of the 2018 season on Sunday (June 3rd) and in a rematch of the 2017 WNBA Finals, the Sparks defeated Maya Moore and the Minnesota Lynx (77-69).

 

In front of a sellout crowd of 13,500 fans, the Sparks put on a show lead by Sparks MVP Candace Parker. Candace Parker was on fire in the first half scoring 17 points and grabbing 6 rebounds. Parker finished the game with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Her running mate Chelsea Gray was effective on Sunday as well. Gray finished the game with 15 points and 6 assist.

 

Defense was the story of the game for the Sparks in the second half as they held the Lynx to just 10 points in the third quarter.
