This year’s Made in America Festival on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia was definitely one for the books. What made it memorable than most is arguable. Between Beyonce’s appearance alongside Jay Z, to Ben Simmons and the Sixers vibing out in the crowd, to Cardi B’s spectacular headlining set or Travis Scott’s electrifying performance to close out the festival – there were just too many moments to account for.

It was also definitely the year of the ladies! From Lizzo’s standout performance – which Beyonce was loving – to Tierra Whack’s performance that was accompanied by a sign that read, “Hello Made in America, I used to sneak into this festival with my friends. Please follow your dreams, anything is possible” – there was no shortage of “girl power.” Megan Thee Stallion held it down for the ladies on the Tidal Stage, and ofcourse Cardi B shut it down as the headliner on Saturday night.

Not to be outdone, the fellas came to represent as well. Juice Wrld, James Black, Kaskade, Anderson .Paak, Kodak Black, Bazzi, Blueface, Freddie Gibbs, and more all provided a diverse and eclectic mix of sounds that filled the parkway.

And ofcourse, closing out the 2-day festival, Travis Scott, came with the energy – and yes, there were mosh pits.

What makes Made in America a unique experience – that you must experience at least once in your life – is that it brings people from all walks of life, different backgrounds, shapes, sizes, colors, and generations, together for the love of culture and music.
