unnamed-4 ICONIC HIP HOP LABEL, LOUD RECORDS, CELEBRATES 25TH ANNIVERSARY!

Iconic Hip Hop Label LOUD Records, founded by Steve Rifkind and Rich Isaacson celebrates its 25th Anniversary with LOUD Twenty-Five, a star-studded concert featuring stars from the celebrated LOUD roster. The concert will take place on Saturday, October 11th, at the Prudential Center @ 25 Lafayette St in Newark, NJ.  Doors open at 7PM.

Steve Rifkind reminisces about LOUD,  “This celebration means the world to me.  LOUD was born out of a love for hip hop and a childhood fantasy. To see it grow into one of the most iconic and storied hip hop labels in history and having the opportunity to celebrate with our amazing artists 25 years later leaves me speechless about our journey.”

Originally funded with a mere three-thousand-dollar monthly commitment from BMG,  LOUD Records became a pre-eminent hip hop label selling over 100 Million records with little to no radio airplay. LOUD’s promotional campaigns based on the street marketing concept originated by Rifkind, executed by Isaacson and the legendary LOUD army of influencers and hip hop junkies, aka the “street team,” paved the way for the label to be known for the gritty underground sound and lyricism of its seminal groups – Wu-Tang Clan, Tha Alkaholics, Mobb Deep, Big Pun, and Xzibit to name a few.

The October 11th show will include performances from some of Loud’s most legendary artists including multi-platinum selling and legendary Wu-Tang Clan, platinum-selling and Academy Award-winning Three 6 Mafia, the prolific and platinum-selling Mobb Deep (with special guests), classic West Coast rapper and actor Xzibit, one of the original Loud Records signees and West Coast hard core party rappers Tha Alkaholics, NYC Mash Out Posse M.O.P., the revolutionary dead prez, elite Hip Hop producer Pete Rock, Fat Joe and Remy Ma paying tribute to Big Pun and many more acts to be announced.

Fat Joe says of signing Big Pun to Loud, “I had to take Pun to Loud.  Loud was the best record label on earth.”
