Frank Ocean called in earlier today to BBC 1 Radio to speak to Zane Lowe about a bunch of topics related to his new album. In the interview, Frank discusses why he decided to release Channel Orange a week early on iTunes, saying the decision was influenced by Jay-Z and Kanye West‘s early release of Watch The Throne on iTunes last year, an album which he is featured on. In addition, he talks about the making of the album, and one of the fly studios he did some recording in that had a pool out back, and the non-traditional way the album was promoted, saying, “I wanted the music to speak for itself.” He also discusses his performance on Jimmy Fallon‘s show from earlier this week, but does not ever mention his recent announcement about his sexuality.
