HipHopSince1987 is giving away 2 pairs of tickets to see Pusha T in Philadelphia this Thursday, November 29th at The Blockley. There will only be two winners, each winner will get a pair of tickets. Other artists performing are RONE, VOSS, E-HOS, and Philly’s own I-KNOW BRASCO. You must be 18 to enter and 21 to drink. The contest ends at 6pm on 11/28/12!!!!

I hold this line and song close because it really articulate not just the direction the Clispe go with music but the unblinking reflection that comes out of Pusha T. He speak of this outlawry culture where he doesn’t glorify but describe the ills, the comprising it put on his heart, that he is wearing on his sleeve with each verse another heartbeat. I always admire the CLiSPE and verses from PushaT always stood out to me for his wit and daunting reflection on his life. It’s a reality that not shown enough in rap, or spoken so subtly in hip hop but it because of the importance artist like PushaT who give you both sides of the coins, and even show you the edges. It encouraging on seeking better of self and models self-reflection to recognize ones’ life in all facets that allow understanding of self. I have long admire this about PushaT.
For this reason and many others it would mean alot for me to see PushaT because I have always wanted to go to one of his shows and it has become to my regret that I do not have the funds to see him this time around.
