MNF: Chicago Bears Vs. San Francisco 49ers Predictions

November 19, 2012 1

NFL

Tonight’s Monday Night football matchup features the San Francisco 49ers (6-2-1) hosting the Chicago Bears (7-2).

With both starting quarterbacks out of tonight’s game due to injury (Concussions), this game will be about one thing, DEFENSE.  Jason Campbell will get the start for the Bears and Colin Kaepernick will start for the 49ers. Both the 49ers and Bears feature two of the best defenses the NFL has to offer. The Bears lead the NFL in takeaways and the San Francisco 49ers are ranked third in the league  allowing just 292.1 yards per game.

With both quarterbacks out this could easily become a battle of which teams running back (Frank Gore or Matt Forte) can help lead his team to victory. Special teams could also play a huge part so look for Ted Ginn and Devin Hester to try to make big plays for their respective teams tonight.

It was hard to decide who had the upper hand with both starting quarterbacks gone but tonight I’m going with the Chicago Bears and their defense. I exoect them to create 3 turnovers and record a special teams touchdown to help them win tonight.

Bears 20   49ers 17

Yea, it’s expected to be a defensive slugfest. But Kaepernick is a pretty dynamic player. He might make a mistake or two but it he might break one, too
