After the backlash the NFL received in their ruling on the Ray Rice domestic abuse case, the NFL is now prepared to lay down harsh penalties.

Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice was involved in a domestic violence incident earlier this year and after he was only suspended for two games during the 2014 NFL season, fans, players and woman groups across the nation requested a change. Today the NFL has granted their wish. The NFL has laid down a new law. If players are involved in domestic violence, their first penalty will be a six game suspension. If players are involved in domestic violence for a second time, the player will be banned for the NFL for life.
