unnamed2 Almighty E - Hell's Kitchen (Video)

Philly’s own Almighty E will be releasing his debut mixtape It’s Just Me sometime this month, but before dropping off the works, he caught up with HHS1987’s Niyah Nel for a brief conversation. Check out the dialogue below & keep up with Almighty E via Soundcloud, https://soundcloud.com/almighty-e-1.

Niyah Nel: What’s up E!

Almighty E: What’s going on miss. Niyah Nel?

Niyah Nel: I’m over here checking you out. So let’s get right into it.. Being a native of Philly, what would you say the music scene is like in your city overall?

Almighty E: The music scene for Philly I believe is on the rise by Meek giving us that gateway but not every artist is good. But overall, it’ good.

Niyah Nel: Where did the name ‘Almighty E’ originate from?

Almighty E: It originated from my First name and other things I did, but mainly the tattoo scripture I have in the inside of my arm.

Niyah Nel: How would you describe your style as an artist?

Almighty E: My style is very versatile, and my flow is very unique. I can slow it down and then I can speed it up. Not every artist you come across has the skill to do that correctly.

Niyah Nel: Who are some of your influences?

Almighty E: Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, Nas, Jeezy, Ace Hood, Wiz and others..

Niyah Nel: How do you feel about the presence that Meek Mill holds over Philly, being a rapper yourself?

Almighty E: Well everything is temporary, in the next 3 or 5 years you don’t know who gone pop up and takeover Philly, that could be me or another Philly. I show meek high respect and this will always be his city but things change over time. I brand myself and make my own name.

Niyah Nel: In your latest video, “Hell’s Kitchen”, you kind of went into detail on what is considered to be the standard for most emcees that grow up in the area. What are some of the ways you feel that you as an artist can help further revive your city musically?

Almighty E: Ummm, just staying Positive into what ever you’re doing, try to avoid Drama as much as possible “If you can”. If that get accomplished then maybe the next generation would change and people stories would be more positive because they haven’t really encountered problems. But we all come from different backgrounds.

Niyah Nel: What is the name of your upcoming project dropping this month?

Almighty E: “Its Just Me” [The Mixtape] be on look for that, it’s my 1st mixtape but people been waiting for it so long because I kept postponing it.

Niyah Nel: What can we expect from you with this new offering?

Almighty E: A lot of credit and respect. I’m slowly rising so this offering will definitely put me in the place I will need to be & the work doesn’t stop.

Niyah Nel: Anything you want to leave the people with?

Almighty E: WATCH OUT FOR ME!

The release date will be sometime this month, but in the meantime, check out the video for Almighty E’s latest video “Hell’s Kitchen” below. Stay tuned for more!
