Bremerton, a small town in Washington’s Puget Sound region, is where he was born into a trailer park with hard working parents. When he decided to focus on music full-time, he gave up college basketball. He has been doing freestyles by himself and with his pals since middle school, but he only lately started studying music seriously. Just as he is a very multifaceted person, so too is his musical output. Every song is unique and reflects a distinct facet of who he is. Artists are those who invest their whole selves into their work. So much of people’s success comes from their own efforts. Many of us strive for the satisfaction of having labored fruitfully and attained success. There’s no good reason to deny creative people the same protections.
