Tevin Baker is a vocal force that cannot be denied, his sound is unlike anything we have ever heard before.
We were lucky to get a piece of his time to learn more about his mindset towards becoming the musical success he is today!
What made you get into music?
Getting into music wasn’t my choice I was born with the gift of song in me. It was only a matter
of me growing older and finding out.
At what point do you feel like you really crossed over from trying to doing?
I would have to say it was when I moved to New York and had no other choice but to figure it
out. I had no family and didn’t know many people. No safety net. I started to think differently
and every decision I made was thought out and weighed on a scale of survival.
Did you ever fake it till you made it?
Unintentionally, yes. I just love to look nice. Even If I’m broke I will always look nice.
In terms of my music, everything has been very authentic and what I put into my music is really a reflection of how I am feeling and what I am currently experiencing.
Are there things you did in your life where things just got much easier after you made a
change?
Yes. I started to care. For a long time I kind of just lived in my own world and painted the sky
whatever color I wanted it to be. As I matured I learned that you have to care about some
things. Especially if you want to be successful. Don’t accept things that you’re not actually
okay with.
Is success for you more about money or time?
Time is more valuable for me, but I definitely want the money. Money can buy the time. I like to spend my time working on being a better artist.
If you could compare yourself to one artist who would it be?
I wouldn’t compare myself. I truly believe we are all very different and special in our own way. I draw inspiration from all around, but I do feel like my sound is authentic.
What’s your goal with music?
To enjoy it. I believe music to be a vessel.
A platform for expansion into many other business ventures.
I want the world to hear my music and resonate with the deeper message of what I am sharing through my words and the instruments I am using.

Chill, Sexy, Uplifting, and ultimately a good vibe to put people into a good mood.
