Shawty fell from Top 3 (B, Mz. Beatz, CiCi) to not mentioned at all, to Teirra Marie’s “Sponsor” song is better than yours. I think it all started a few years ago maybe 2006 after her first album run officially came to an end and she was promoting her 2nd album “The Evolution.” There was something different about her music, it had less life, it had less bounce, it wasn’t as provocative. There was something missing in her music and on her album packaging. That’s right it was the 400 pound black man that signed her, developed her, executive produced her 1st set and gave her 80% of her hits! JAZZE PHA!
Somewhere in between 2004 and 2006 Ciara on her triple platinum run, CiCi thought “(in my best Georgia Peach impression) you know what…this shit all about me shawty. I don’t need that fat nigga Jaaaazzeeee or his team. I’m finna go fuck wit da white man” Oh…really now! This is a perfect example of a mediocre talent thinking they’re *THE STAR* when its actually the team around them who masked their flaws and built them up to where they are. What happened in her 1st album post-Jazze would be that it would sell half of her 1st one (no coincidence). Now this was in 2006 when people were still buying CDs so u can’t exactly blame it on the “industry” as so many failing artists loooooove to do. Something was clearly off.
“Promise” was a sexy video and great lead single that had people even saying was CiCi sexier than Beyonce. This song alone pushed her to platinum buuuuuut there was no follow up! Well nothing that would hit as hard as her previous efforts. “Like a Boy” was ehhhh and in the video she looked like a boy which clearly didn’t help. And here’s where the struggle would really begin.
Her next album “Fantasy Ride” would sell 195,000 copies…no, no not 1st week! TOTAL! No songs from the album would really make a mark and she let Justin Timberlake faux fuck her in the video for “Love, Sex, Magic” and that left a bad taste in most people’s mouths to the point where they ignored that she had the reigning King of Pop on her damn record! But I guess the video did its job because the song did go platinum…in Australia (LMFAO)!
What would happen after would just be silly, multiple singles released that either nobody cared about or knew about. “Ride” gave her some new life cuz once again she went the provocative route but I personally go tired of it after every fat bitch in America decided she wanted to do the Ride dance too. Can u say sizzick to my stizzomach!
And in CiCi’s latest move of desperation now she wanna go the mixtape route! Do u see Queen B or Keri Hilson dropping mixtapes? That’s that Teirra Marie shit right thurr (ZING)! “Pretty Gurl Swag” was so vile and disgusting. I mean are u really tryna get hot in July off a song that came out in January? SMH at u shawty! And her latest was jackin Waka’s “Hard In Da Paint.” Waka Flocka dats my muthafucka patna (she sings)…why do I find that hard to believe? It was Lloyd who said “I don’t fuck wit Hollywood ass bitches like Ciara” and he’s a Johnny Sweat (Johnny Gill/Keith Sweat) s-curl texturizer ass nigga, so I know she aint rockin out wit Waka like dat! Can somebody, anybody please tell Ciara to pick up her fishing equipment and move to a new spot, this one’s all.dried.up.
The only way baby girl is gonna be able to get out of this hole she dug herself into is to reconcile with Jazze and let him Exec her next album…she clearly needs the lift and he does too! It would be good for your career and R&B in general. What you had before was a “sound” and now you’ve lost your way trying to find a new one. The next step in your current journey leads you to will.i.am and you saw what happened with him and Kelis #NoBueno! Don’t be a statistic baby girl you still got a little life left!
(Ed. note: I was wrong as shit, she’s a decomposing body! Ciara released yet another Flopper with Cheese and extra mayo on Dec. 10 of last year called Basic Instinct. No one cared, no one bought it, I dont even think anyone reviewed it. 37K copies first week is less than Boosie’s Incarcerated album ~cmon its called Incarcerated and sold more smh~ and she also has a terrible bubble gum remix out right now with some 8 year olds. ITS OVER!!!)
