Peyton Manning is back and he has 400 reasons to prove it.

There was a large amount of hype surrounding the late NFL game yesterday September 9,2012 as future Hall of Famer Peyton Manning made he debut as a Denver Broncos and boy did it live up to it.

After nearly two years ( 611 days) Peyton’s first official NFL game was against the Pittsburgh Steelers and not only did Peyton assist his new team in a victory, his first touchdown pass as a Broncos was a 71-yard touchdown throw to Demaryius Thomas,  and the 400th of his career.

There are only three people in NFL history with 400 touchdown passes. Dan Marino Brett Favre and now Peyton Manning. He reached the milestone in his 208th career game. Dan Marino did it in his 227th game andBrett Favre in his 228th.When asked how he felt about his achievement Peyton added “I love those guys,” Manning said. “Brett and Dan are two of my favorite quarterbacks of all time. I don’t feel like I belong in their category. But to be sort of mentioned among them is a true honor.”

The Broncos will be headed to the Georgia Dome where their next matchup is against Julio Jones and the Atlanta Falcons next monday September 17th on ESPN’s Monday Night Football.
