A-Rod Is This The End Of The A-Rod Era In New York? Yankees Face Elimination Vs.Tigers

Alex Rodriguez  cant win for losing as of late. A-Rod was dropped from the Yankees’ starting lineup again Wednesday and now the Yankees are facing elimination and A-Rod’s future with the team seems slim to none.

Rodriguez who is only 3 for 23 in this postseason, was out of the lineup for the third time in New York’s nine playoff games. The star third baseman also has been pulled for a pinch hitter three times.

Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said before Game 4 : “We will go forward. Alex will go forward,’That doesn’t mean that he’s done, that he’s finished, that he is not capable. He is still a big threat, but for whatever reason right now we are adjusting to what we are seeing. Whether the Yankees keep him on the bench or put him in another postseason game, ”it doesn’t mean by doing so we’re not going to have to deal with legitimate questions”

A-Rod is 37-year with 647 career home runs but seems to be in the worst slump of his career. Rumors are swirling about A-Rod possibility being traded to Miami, his fans and the media are quickly turning on him and his good friend Kobe Bryant had to call him and give a pep talk.

When Rodriguez was asked about his current situation he said: ”I’m not happy about it. Obviously, you come to the ballpark feeling you can help the team win. When you see your name is not in the lineup, it’s obviously disappointing,”  ”You’ve got to accept being a cheerleader and also make sure that you’re ready when you’re number’s called.”

The Yankees face elimination tonight down 0-3 facing the Tigers Tonight.
