One of the biggest festivals in the South is prepared to entertain us again this year with a even bigger show. As we gear up for the fifth year anniversary of the One Music Fest here in Atlanta, the One Music Fest founder Jay Carter and Atlanta media mogul Maurice Garland took some of Atlanta’s biggest media talents on a tour like no other.

Powered by Uber, Heineken and Jack Daniels, the One Music Fest family sponsored a Media Crawl this past weekend in Atlanta, taking media of a tour of Atlanta music history. The tour made stops at:

Smith’s Olde Bar, located in the heart of Midtown, dawned the performance of then young and upcoming artist John Mayer which landed the now Grammy-Award winning artist his first record deal.

Stankonia Recording Studios is owned by Atlanta natives Andre 3000 and Big Boi of Outkast. The studio produced R&B classics like “Waterfalls” from Grammy-Award winning female group trio TLC and became the namesake of Outkast’s 4th studio album, Stankonia. Outkast calls Stankonia Studios home because it is a place of unlimited creative freedom.

Patchwerk Studios has produced world renown hits graced by the legendary voices of Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Usher and one of ONE Musicfest’s 2014 headliners, NAS. Patchwerk also hosts professional workshops for those interested in working in the music industry.

Apache Cafe is an intimate venue that specializes in Atlanta music. Apache provides a platform and audience for new and upcoming music artists from Atlanta and across the nation to share their craft and showcase their talents.

Atlantic Records is home to artists like Trey Songz and K. Michelle. Atlantic opened the doors to their new, never before seen studio this past weekend for the music crawl. Guests also had a chance to be apart of the Atlantic A&R process for new talents Kendall and Dusty McFly.

I’ve never been apart of a tour like this and it was a great experience. The fifth annual ONE Musicfest 2014 will be Saturday, September 13th at the Aaron’s Lakewood Amphitheater headlined by Kendrick Lamar and NAS. The performance lineup also includes: Jhene Aiko, Method Man & Red Man, Amel Larrieux, Bilal, Alice Smith, Daley, Isaiah Rashad, and Cody ChesnuTT.
