capture 2015 College Football National Championship: Oregon Ducks vs. Ohio State Buckeyes (Predictions)

Today history will be made. The first ever college football playoff National Championship game will take place as the Ohio State Buckeyes face the Oregon Ducks live from the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Ohio State has been a surprise in the eyes of many as their third string quarterback has emerged as a possible NFL starter. Buckeyes QB Cardale Jones is making a strong name for himself in the three games he has played and a big win tonight could mean he is ready for the big stage on Sunday. The Buckeyes are seeking their first title since 2002 in just their third season under coach Urban Meyer.

Oregon Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota is looking to bring back a national championship to Oregon which would be the first in the Ducks history. Mariota could possibly become the first overall pick in the 2015 NFL but he will need a big performance tonight if he wants to make that dream a reality.

Tonight I expect the Buckeyes to come out firing. Look for Cardale Jones to pass for over 300 yards and 4 touchdowns tonight. The Buckeyes will also have a strong game on the ground. Buckeyes running back Ezekiel Elliott will rush for over 200 yards tonight and will score two touchdowns.

Marcus Mariota will have a good game but not the game people are expecting. Look for Mariota to pass for over 200 yards and rush for over 80 but not put up the big numbers. Oregon will feel the lost of wide receiver Darren Carrington and may not be able to score much due to the playmakers lost.
