Boston hip hop artist Merk, who happens to be 1/3 of the music trio PAKXEMH, is preparing for the release of his debut, solo project The 6YS, which is set to release on July 21st. With his solo endeavors, Merk definitely hopes to repeat some of PAKXEMH’s success. The group’s 2014 EP Highly Overdue charted on the Billboard Top 200 and peaked #2 on the iTunes hip-hop chart. Merk’s calming Frace-produced cut, “Intro,” captures Merk in an introspective state, doing a bit of soul searching.
