NFC-Chip-500x279 2018 NFC Championship: Minnesota Vikings vs. Philadelphia Eagles (Predictions)

Ladies and gentleman, the day has come! Growing up in the City of Brotherly I can say I understand the importance of this game not only for the Eagles, but the entire city.

Today at 6:40, the road to the Super Bowl continues as the Minnesota Vikings head to Lincoln Financial Field to face the Philadelphia Eagles. The winner of today’s game will play in Super Bowl 52 in Minnesota.

At the beginning of the year, I selected the Eagles to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. Although I have a special love for the Eagles, there was something about this team and their make up that had champions written all over it.

The Minnesota Vikings come into the game with one of the best defenses in the league but I don’t have much faith in their offense. Defense travels but South Philly is a tough place to play and I think Vikings fan will learn that today. I expect the Vikings to struggle on the offensive side of the ball. Vikings quarterback Case Keenum has had a storybook season but the Eagles defense will play the Big Bad Wolf this afternoon. Today I expect Case Keenum to throw for 190 and 1 touchdown with 2 interceptions. The Vikings will look to get their rushing game going but the Eagles defensive line won’t allow that. The Vikings will rush for a total of 96 yards with one touchdown.

For the Eagles, they have been the underdog during their entire playoff run and they are feeding off of that. The Eagles are the number one seed in the NFC, but the lost of quarterback Carson Wentz has made many become doubters. The Eagles have embraced the roll of the underdog and that will be the key to them making Super Bowl 52.

Today I expect Eagles to handle their business and advice to Super Bowl 52. Look for Eagles quarterback Nick Foles to pass for 227 yards with 2 touchdown passes. The Eagles running game will control the game and the clock. The Eagles will rush for over 140 yards total and account for 2 touchdowns. I’m going with the home team in this game.

Eagles 27  Vikings 17
