Super-Bowl-500x279 Super Bowl 52: Philadelphia Eagles vs. New England Patriots (Predictions)

The day is upon us! The biggest sporting event of the year kicks off tonight at 6:40pm as the (13-3) Philadelphia Eagles face the (13-3) New England Patriots for all the marbles. Super Bowl 52!

The 2017 NFL Season was filled with ups and downs both on and off the field and it all comes to a head tonight in Minnesota and U.S Bank Stadium. The team that plays the best game of football today will be crowded a champion.

The Philadelphia Eagles come into the game today embracing the roll of the underdog and that has been working for them during this postseason run. “We all we need, We all we got” is the motto Eagles fans are going with and that motivation has got them to this point. Eagles sophomore quarterback Carson Wentz was a big reason on why the Eagles made it to this point but a injury late in the year put him on the injured reserve list bringing a new hero out of the dust, Nick Foles.

The Eagles have faced obstacle after obstacle this season but they haven’t allowed that to derail them from the mission at hand, bringing a NFL championship to the city of Philadelphia.

The New England Patriots are no strangers to the big stage and the bright lights. Under the leadership of head coach Bill Belichick the Patriots have won five Super Bowl trophies and they have raised the standards to what a dynasty in the NFL looks like. This season for the Patriots was also one filled with several ups and downs but their journey has them here now, one game away from another championship ring.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is looking for his sixth NFL championship and after being named the 2017 NFL MVP, Brady is looking to make history. No quarterback has ever lead the NFL in passing (season), won the NFL MVP award and won the Super Bowl in the same year. If Brady gets it done, he will be the first to do so.

Looking at the strengths of both teams this game has the chance to be a good one. Today I expect the Philadelphia Eagles to shock the world. Look for Eagles quarterback Nick Foles to pass for over 270 yards with 2 touchdown passes. The Eagles running game will dominate the game. The Eagles as a unit will rush for over 200 yards on the ground and control the game clock. Defense will be the theme of this season for the Eagles. The Eagles defense will make Super Bowl 52 a long night for the Patriots offense who will commit 3 turnovers as a unit in the game.

The Patriots won’t find the game rhythm we are so use to seeing them play with. For the first time the season, we will be reminded that Tom Brady is 40 years old and that father time is undefeated. I’m sure to many this won’t be a surprise, but I’m going with the birds.
